2 Day Bibbulmun Hike – The Helena Valley
May 11 @ 8:00 am - May 12 @ 3:00 pm
A perfect 2-day weekend hike on our great Bibbulmun Track.
It’s a great first step into overnight hiking.
This is a stunning section of the Bibbulmun Track starting at Dale Road. We will stop off at Beraking Campsite for lunch which overlooks the beautiful valley below. Then onto the Waalegh Campsite where we pitch our tents, make a campfire and relax with new hiker mates. We will walk through forests of Jarrah and Wandoo, even a pine plantation.
Do you want to solo overnight hike?
This hike has been designed to cater for anyone who wishes to do some solo overnight hiking but currently lacks the confidence or know how. Prior to the hike, I will make myself available to anyone who wishes to learn how to plan your own solo hike.
Unfortunately, the section around the Helena Campsite including the open hut we hike through on day two was destroyed by a bush fire in Summer of 2018. Even though the forest will not be at it’s pristine, an opportunity to see how nature heals and rejuvenates is both beautiful and inspiring. The campsite is currently in the process of being reconstructed.
