4 Day Bibbulmun Hike – Collie to Balingup

This is a recognized section of the Bibbulmun Track, a 4 hiking day (86km) hike between Collie and Balingup. Days one and six are for traveling.
It’s wildflower season, little surprises along the way.
Nature can’t make any promises, but Western Australia’s world famous wildflowers should be blooming awesome!
Length: 4 hiking days/3 nights (5 days total inc’ towns)
Graded: Medium / hard – Even though the terrain is not difficult, I have graded the hike this high due to its daily distances.
Nights: Your own tent or equally adequate shelter.

Day One (bus 1320BN) 2.35pm South West Coachlines – Cockburn train station to The Colliefields Hotel, Collie
Day Two (Hiking) Collie to Yabberup Campsite Campsite – 19.6km
Day Three (Hiking) Yabberup Campsite Campsite to Noggerup Campsite – 20.2km
Day Four (Hiking) Noggerup Campsite to Grimwade Campsite – 23km
Day Five (hiking) Grimwade Campsite to Balingup – 22.9km
Day Six (bus MP0630) 7.15am South West Coachlines Balingup to Cockburn Central train station arriving 10.20am

About Your Guide
Didier has over 15 years of experience working in mentoring roles with young people and adults in recreation, training, disabilities and mental health. In 2016 he successfully completed a solo end-to-end journey of the 1000km Bibbulmun Track. In 2012 Didier was nominated as a Finalist in the WA Disability Service Awards for his passion and work with young people in employment and training.
What you will need to bring…
- Backpack- 60 litres plus
- Water- min 2 litres per day

- Tent or suitable shelter
- Sleeping bag- 0 degrees comfort rating
- Sleeping mat
- Comfortable walking boots or shoes
- Hiking stove
- Basic first-aid kit

- One night’s accommodation in a basic shared room at Colliefields Hotel/Backpackers
- One night’s accommodation in a basic shared room at The Post House Hostel, Balingup
- Two guides
- One-on-one mentoring on the trail if you request it

- Pre-hike group shakedown (2 hrs)
- One-on-one post-hike reflection and plan prep (Duke Of Ed)
Transport (not included in price)
Transport with South West Coachlines to Collie and from Balingup is booked and paid for by the Participant to enable them to receive any discount they are entitled to.
