A Day On Kitty’s Gorge Trail, Jarrahdale

August 3 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

The Life of Py

The Kitty’s Gorge Trail which begins in Jarrahdale is a Perth favourite, arguably one of the very best.

But it’s easy to see why it’s a beautiful journey which follows the Serpentine River to the falls of the same name. When the river is really flowing after rains, its a stunning walk.

This is why I have planned a Kitty’s Gorge hike during Winter. The gorge itself is a nice spot to rest halfway to the falls, its beautiful with gushing water over it’s top like a waterfall.

Kitty’s Gorge Trail is a one-way trail, so we will return the same way we came, it all looks slightly different in the afternoon. This is actually a good way to learn how to hike.

There is no real climbing until the rugged steps that take you down to the falls but then you climb on the return. It is rugged most of the way which is what makes it a medium grade walk.
