“With every dream comes respect”
One of the greatest things youth learn on a hike is respect. That is respect for their environment, wildlife, others and themselves. Everything becomes so clear and part of you.
You have never seen a respect for food which is your fuel, at the end of a challenging day of hiking.
“Respect” guides all of our daily interactions – with all others, living creatures, each leaf and every step we take.
- plan ahead and prepare,
- travel and camp on durable surfaces,
- dispose of waste properly,
- leave what you find,
- minimize campfire impacts,
- respect wildlife,
- be considerate of other visitors.
